Master Class Permission Slip

You may have noticed that we have a new monthly offering since the beginning of the new year. Antoinette has been offering regular Master Classes. This term may be intimidating. It is seen more and more in yoga circles. When a class lasts longer than 75 minutes, includes more in depth practices than asana and deep breathing, it’s called a master class. It doesn’t mean that the teacher is a master. Nor is it meant to imply that the student need be a master. (Which would make the class obsolete.) Master is simply meant to convey a more in depth practice than can be offered weekly.
We prefer those who are interested in delving deeper into their yoga practice have at least some yoga experience under their belt. Master classes are typically not for brand new beginners.
Our 500 hour certified yoga teachers will be offering Master Classes regularly through the year. Antoinette’s next class is February 18th at 9am. Vanessa will be offering a Master Class Series beginning in March. Keep an eye out for Jennifer’s Master Classes coming soon!
