Introduction to Yoga to Change Your Mind

Pratipaksha Bhavana means to cultivate the opposite.

Regular yoga practice helps cultivate awareness of thought patterns. Over time, we become aware of our reactivity. Once we can observe that reactivity, we set up the pause between stimulus and reaction. Then, we can replace the reaction.

Reduce animosity that can build from our attachments to suffering. If we’re angry, sad or disappointed long enough animosity builds and then we’ll be angry. Cultivate a shift in your perspective to reduce your own suffering.

This class start in makarasana! Enjoy a relaxing crocodile pose to start practice aware of cultivating longer exhales. Throughout the practice you'll be prompted to notice the quality of your thoughts. If you look and see negativity, replace it. Meditation is the OM Kriya.
